In this article, we cover everything you can do and need to know from the time production starts to approving the finished 3D content and uploading it into PLATTAR's core platform.

In previous articles we explained the process of creating, quoting and allocating new requests for 3D content production on PIPELINE.

In our example process, the brief has now been allocated to a content creator. The Content Production process starts with the modeller accepting the brief.

Modellers upload draft model

Our modelling team commence their work and, as soon as available, will upload the Solution’ (i.e. a first draft version of the 3D model) to PIPELINE. At this point, Requesters or Quality Control receive a Latest Change status notification in their All Briefs overview (or by email if notifications are turned on).

The requester (or assigned QA member) gets notified of the upload through the “Model Uploaded” (and the GREEN dot) notification in the Latest Change column in the “My Briefs” overview.

Important Notes

  • If a Quality Control profile is invited to the project and/or folder, the 'Model Uploaded' notification will go to Quality Control. When that is not the case, notifications go directly to the Requester of the brief/job.

  • We strongly recommend for Requesters / QA to review the model draft as soon as possible, leave applicable comments (covered next) and mark the model draft as "Review Complete" to support a smooth and swift content production process. The review turnaround times are agreed between the PLATTAR Team and requesters during the briefing stage.

Start of Model Review Process:

To access the model in the PIPELINE Review Editor, select View > Model in the All Briefs overview. You’ll be redirected to the Review Editor page.

Click the link below to understand how to interact with the Review Editor when providing feedback on models, approve 3D content and, once final, upload the new assets onto PLATTAR.
