How to Clone Briefs

Cloning (or duplicating) briefs helps the requester save time by duplicating past briefs when the product information or requirements are very similar to past requests. This is particularly true when managing larger numbers of product variants or content production of products with only few differences.

Duplicating a brief is simple. Requesters can duplicate existing briefs at any stage of the process. Simply follow the following steps:

  1. Select ‘Briefs’ in the top menu and get redirected to the “My Briefs” list.

  2. Find the brief that you want to clone using the scroll, filters, or search function.

  3. Select ‘Duplicate’ from the dropdown menu under “Actions” (far right of your list).

  4. The popup will prompt you to enter a name for the new brief. Once filled in, click ‘Confirm’.

  5. The duplicate (or clone) has been created in the database and you will be redirected to the ‘New Brief’ interface.

  6. From there, you edit or change any inputs, review due date and budget information and upload relevant reference materials, much like when you create a new brief from scratch.

  7. Once done, click ‘Save’ or ‘Save and Publish’.
